Investment Planning

Wherever you are in life, you’re sure to have plans for the future

Whether you want to set some cash aside for a property, help fund your child’s education or simply leave some money untouched for a while, there is an investment plan available for you.

Make sense of investments

We have a range of savings and investment products provided by Norwich Union from bonds and ISAs right through to collective investments.

Remember, the value of your investment can go down as well as up and is not guaranteed.  The level of risk depends on the type of fund you invest in.  All Norwich Union investment products should be considered long term investments.  You should also bear in mind that any tax advantages are based on current tax rules, they may not be maintained in the future.

ISAs

An investment which could provide growth, income or even a combination of the two. Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) are tax-efficient savings accounts. From April 2008, you can invest up to £7,200 in each tax year (that's from 6 April to 5 April of the following year).

ISAs are invested in collective funds which mainly feature stocks and shares. Any returns will be free of personal liability to UK income and capital gains tax. Your choice will depend, in part, how you feel about the risks versus the potential returns offered by each fund. Collective investments are also available outside an ISA wrapper.

Investment Bonds

The Portfolio bond is a way of putting your money into a fund or funds over the long term.

A bond is an investment which could provide growth, 'income' or even a combination of the two. Depending on your individual circumstances, it could be tax-efficient too.

Your money is invested in a fund which is then invested in a range of assets such as fixed interest stocks and equities.  Minimum investment in Portfolio is £5,000.

Something different...

Our Portfolio Reserve account is a combination of a Portfolio bond from Norwich Union alongside a Savings Reserve from the Cheshire with an attractive 12 month fixed rate or instant access option.
